I am thinking of buying an external dvd=rw writer. I see that LaCie has one that also has Light Scribe. I would lke to now if anyone has a light Scribe and how do they like it. I hear that it slows the computer down. Any help is appreciated

Light scribe is cool. But it does take a while, and I usually "burn" the image a few times to make sure it is dark enough.

I installed a TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S202N, it works without any problem.

As jmann you need to burn a couple of times to darken the image, hopefully this issue will be taken care of in due course.

I have been using Lightscribe for a couple of years; I really like it. There is a setting that can be changed to make the image darker but slows down the burn; for a label with an image, words, etc., plan on about 25 min. per burn.
