I had some problems burning a CD yesterday in my Dad's PB G4 1.25, and I had to talk to Apple about it. They warned me that there is some media that can't handle the laser in the PowerBook's SuperDrive. I was using Memorex (works in my G5), but they suggested TDK, Sony, or Fujifilm CDs. Just wanted to warn the PB owners out there.

P.S. That must be one powerful laser in the SuperDrive if some media can't handle it!

I have used generic. TDK, memorex just fine in my TiBook 1 gig. Most manufacturers will always suggest a name brand or their own brand, especially if you experience problems. But in my case, I have had no change of reliablity with any brand over another.
