mac virus please help meee........

so ok me my stupid friend😡 was looking for porn in my mac then he said i know what lets look for tha emma watson naked (hes a harry potter nerd) then he found a video and click play then somethin started to donwload named

coatec.dmg.mac

then while it was donwloading it said veryfing installing but i quickly stoped the donwload and empty secure it

its my macbook gonan me fine?

If you are worried, run iAntiVirus and remove anything it comes up with.

That too. There are so many viruses out there and they can be anywhere.

lol I saw someone post this week that they were 14 and their sig has an ipod touch, iphone, macbook pro, apple tv.... 😱 I guess I'm naive but I didn't realize there were 14 year olds here!

If you're looking at porn on a Mac, the only thing that's going to have a virus is the girl you're looking at. There are no viruses for Macs.

ok thanks gusy i was sacred cause it said dmg istead of exe with exe i dont care but this is the firt time i got the dmg also i did not put any password or anything so i should be more than safe

.EXE is the executable file for Windows. Not for Mac. Anything with .exe will not run on Mac OS X

.DMG is the Disk Image Mac OS X uses.

i know that why when all of the suddent a exe comes out i dont care i just deltes but this time it was a dmg

I think the OP means he would not be worried if it was a .exe file (as it is a mac) but he got scared because it started downloading a .dmg file which could harm is computer.

If you didn't give it your admin password, I wouldn't be all that worried.

Yeah, you need to authorize it by giving a password, so nothing to worry about.
