I am connecting my iPhone to the headunit in my car via the data port. Is there a program or setting that I can use to defeat/override the default behavior of my iPhone when it is connected to the headunit so that I can control the iPod function using the phone itself and not the headunit? Thanks

it actually depends on the software onlf ur head unit. I just bought a pioneer with USB acess and it gives me the option to controll music from my iPhone or the head unit

Ooo, I wish I had that feature. I have a Kenwood MP438U. What is the model number of your pioneer?
