Has anybody been to Lebowski Fest? It is a celebration of the movie "The Big Lebowski" Some of my friends are going to the one here in Chicago and I was wondering if the $30 is worth it. I am a big fan of the movie so I think I will cough up the money regardless.

If there was one in Birmingham, England I'd be sorted.

I've watched that movie 5 times in one day before. Other than the cost of snacks and drinks, which I would have had normally, I had my own free fest.
Am I the only one who gives a **** about the rules?!?!

When I read this article (http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/arts/la-et-lebowski30-2009jul30,0,1650079.story) about the documentary, I was struck by this point:
"A cult gives its members license to feel superior to the rest of the universe," film critic David Edelstein wrote on the Lebowski phenomenon, "and so does a cult movie: it confers hipness on those who grok what the mainstream audience can't."
I wondered if that describes the cult of Mac users as well.

I never have been but I think if the opportunity presented itself, I would of course abide. It's in my top 5 favourite films EVER.

I'm thinking of starting a cult, it's going to be called 'we're better than you!', anyone can join if they want, I don't mind...

One of the best lines in the movie...
