Beta updates & firmware

Hi,

always wanted to know this for certain. When a new beta gets released for 3.1 and so on...should the person choose update or restore from itunes (and then browse to the beta .ipsw)?

You have to choose restore. If you click update it says that it has the latest firmware.

you can do alt+restore though. So alt+restore is the recommended way?

Yeah. I am pretty sure it is the only way. At least the last time I tried using update it didn't work but yes Alt + Restore is how you are suppose to do it.
