I have a few questions about sending an HTML email (probably from Entourage on Mac OS 10.3.4)

1) Is there a limit on how many recipients I can send to at one time? I've heard 50 is the most...and I'll need to send much more than that.

2) Is there any issues with me being labeled as a spammer if I send this to my clients who wish to receive my email newsletter?

3) Has anyone had any experiences with sending html emails to dial-up clients? Any bad reactions?

If anyone has any advise on this topic, I would GREATLY appreciate any info...
Thanks,
Dan

2. I shouldn't think there would be a problem with being labeled as a spammer, if you are sending them something they signed up for, why would they report it as spam? Just include a link so that they can unsubscribe.

3. dial-up clients get annoyed with large html emails because it takes longer to download. If possible, you should offer a text version of the email as well.

You should look into an online solution, either a script running on your own web site or an outsourced product like Constant Contact. Your subscribers need to be able to get on and off the list simply with no intervention from you (it's hard enough just writing it without making more work for yourself :D).

There are quite a few free or low cost newsletter scripts using PHP/MySQL if you can turn your hand to that.
