-burning tool
-download manager

i will prefer opensource to freeware to shareware to fully commercial applications. the cheaper and more open it is the better it is. still i need stable and good functionality.

FTP: <a href="http://www.panic.com/transmit/">Transmit</a> - The best FTP program I've ever used. It's shareware, but it's really nice.

Burning: <a href="http://www.roxio.com/en/products/toast/index.jhtml">Toast</a> - Once again, not free, not even shareware, but it's the best for OS X.

What type of features will be missing from the shareware version?
Will it notify me that it is shareware?
Toast is too expensive.

I considered DiscBlaze, but I do not have a Mac right now, waiting for the G5 to arrive...

Can one comment on DiscBlaze?

I have tried a bunch of FTP clients, Transmit works the best for me. It really covers all the grounds for a good FTP client.

I bought MacGIMP, it wouldn't install, I wrote to them, they ignored me, I wrote again, they ignored me again - made me think I was maybe dealing with Microsoft.

It still won't install.
