Sorry to be critical, but this is, well.. misleading..
The following can be said to better explain the situation:
- It is not possible to "use" the iMac camera under Windows 7 (to take picture) without seperate 3rd party software. So in a clean 'out-of-the-tin' setup, the camera is there, functioning as a device, but you have no way to use it.
- the bootcamp drivers need to be installed and this process then enables the camera as a device you can then use with your chosen software.
- AFAIK most popular messaging/chat software will sucessfully use the camera (Skype, Live Messenger, etc)
- Most WebCams come with 'capture' software to allow you to capture pictures etc. However the Apple iMac built-in WebCam does not come with any appropriate windows software of this sort.
- So, from a 'technical' perspective, the answer is "yes, it works".
- But, for a user wanting to take a picture, the answer is "No, it doesn't work"
What we could do with is sugestions on how a user can 'take a picture' using the built-in camera.
This will require sugestions of appropriate software that allows 'photo capture'.
----------
In Control Panel there is a "Scanners and Cameras" wizard that will let you use it.
This is ONLY appropriate on XP and Vista. On Windows 7 this is no longer available.

Yeah you just have to go into windows, insert your mac os installer dvd and an installer wizard comes up saying that it will install bootcamp, it will install drivers for all the hardware in your computer, it works great after this
Rather confused bu this statement "it works great after this".
If, by "works", you meant it is there as a device, then yes.
But if you mean "the user can use the camera to take a picture", then no! this is wrong.. You still need (on windows 7) additional (not included) software to 'take' the picture..
