I keep getting this message in standby mode " This accessory is not made to work with iphone - do you want to switch on Airplane mode to avoid radio interference ? if you do you will not be able to make or receive calls"
Can someone help pls

It would be helpful if you gave more information than just that.

Carrier, jailbroken/not, 2G or 3G or 3GS, what version of firmware, things you might have installed, etc.
