Hi!

Here's my problem:
I want to control (not stream) itunes on my Windows 2000 pc, from my Mac OSX powerbook. That is, I want to be able to view and control what is played on my Windows 2000 playlist (in a web page or application window) on the powerbook.

The best option I have seen for this is webremote, which is macosx -> macosx only.

itunes remote

os x 10.2 and itunes 3 only

itunes ssh remote

ssh - too basic

Earphoria

beta - incomplete, mac only

Thanks for your time,

Alan

i use remote desktop from MS to control my XP box. it lets you play the sound on the windows box or stream it to your powerbook. it's the closest thing i'll get to airtunes for awhile!

i use vnc to control my xp box from my ibook. you need a vnc server application on the windows and a viewer application on your mac. i have VNCDimension on my mac and RealVNC on the xp.
