Hi, Does anyone know if the new Western digital scorpio blue drives - 750gb and 1tb.. fit in the Mac Mini? Or the Macbook pros come to that?

mini can take 2.5" sata drives, they need to be 9mm and not 12mm.
look at the specs of the products, im pretty sure it will fit

It will probably fit, but there will be no room for airflow over the top of it, so it might get a bit hot...
You could always take the superdrive out :D

LOL! I won't if you use a 12.7mm OptiBay in place of the SuperDrive. The WD only runs at 5200RPM, can't produce that much heat.

No one knows this yet since the drives are not available. It can take a 12.5 mm drive, but you'll lose the airspace above the OEM drive. That may compromise airflow, but whether that compromises the system is unpredictable. If I went with one of these drive, it would replace the optical drive.
