Have successfully installed networked printers on my new Leopard Xserve. Can print from the server. In Services - have enabled Print service and sharing via IPP, LPR, SMB, AppleTalk. When I install printer on a client (going through the server so hopefully I can enforce print quotas), I get an error message saying the server is unavailable. Server is up and can be pinged, but the print ports are not listening. How do I open the print ports on the Xserver running Leopard?

firewall

Check your firewall, you can turn it off and give a try if you don't know which ports to open

Firewall is off - did not even add it as a service in Server Admin. I added the firewall server, checked to allow all traffic from any, started the service with no luck in sharing printers. When I checked the status of port 515 - message read closed.
