Hi friends,

few weeks ago I bought my Unibody 17'' Macbook Pro Anti-Glare :D great! the basic spec is;

512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8 GHz
4GB memory

I want to run GTA 4!!!! I installed VMWare and than Windows XP Pro. it is working well. than I installed GTA 4. when I go for first run, I came cross with an error like;

GTA IV FATAL ERROR : DD3D50

I researched forums and found out that it is about graphic card. when I checked hardware info in windows xp pro, I saw info like;

Display: WMware SVGA II 128MB
Memory: 512MB

:( than i downloaded drivers from nvidia website but it said it is not compatible :(

how can i install graphic card? and how can i run GTA4?

appreciate helps! thnks a lot!

You can't really run any serious games (esp like GTA4) inside VMWare.

You will have to install windows in Bootcamp.

GTA IV will barely run natively on that Mac. There's not a chance in the world that it will run at all within VMware. Run the Boot Camp assistant and install Windows XP on your Mac's hard drive. Then install GTA IV within the native Windows environment. GTA will probably take some tweaking to get it to run OK since it has absurd system requirements, but it will definitely run.
