Snow Leopard system requirements

After checking out the system requirements for the upcoming Snow Leopard OS I'm wondering if my '06 MacBook 1.1 w/ a Core Duo processor meets the minimum requirements - specifically, the difference between a 32-bit processor vs. 64-bit processor. Thanks.

"64-bit support requires a Mac with a 64-bit processor."
 
The 64 can address more than 4GB of RAM. Among other things. 😀

All Intel Macs work with Snow Leopard, as is stated on Apple's site.

They use the Quad Core chips in the Mac Pro models, just nothing "portable."

OP, here's how it goes...

Core Duo= 32-bit architecture, sorry, no 64-bit features for you.
Core 2 Duo/Quad and newer= 64-bit architecture, features are go.
 
Old core duo are not really going to get alot of advantage from going to the SL, just lower OS memory use, a little speed up due to that and increase in battery life as far as i can tell. 64 bit machines are the once that will be rocking the new os fully, but for 30$ upgrade even 32 bit users are stupid not to.

PS: I noticed a pretty big increase in battery life in SL on my White MB latest one. i haven't had a chance to install SL on my older mac yet to see what will happen there. The batttery would last me good 5 hours with casual use leaving my lap top on and leaving to the gym, come back after a few hours start working on it again for another good hour before its dead.
 
Well i didn't know that core 2 duo has a 64 bit architecture, sorry...
all i know is i have a 2.0GHz C2D. So i'm guessing i'm good to go for SL.
