What I heard about the new iPod Touch...

I know a guy who used to go out with a girl whose second cousin used to work in an Apple store, and he told me this, so it must be true...

The new iPod Touch will be coming out NEXT WEEK. There will be no 8gig OR 16gig models. The lowest will be 32 , and there will also be 64 and 128 models. No price yet, but they're expected to go down about 15%.

No GPS, but there will be a 10 megapixel camera with a 10X optical zoom with video capabilities.
If you have a Bluetooth capable radio in your car, you'll be able to remote start your car using the IPT. You will also be able to use it as a universal remote control, allowing you to control any remote controlled device anywhere in your home.
A great new feature will be a built in radar detector for use when driving. Also for safer driving, the Touch will feature a built in breathalyzer with ignition interlock, so it won't let you start your car if your blood alcohol is above your state's legal limit.
An integrated barometer will let you keep track of weather trends, and can also be used as an altimeter while hiking.
A handy laser pointer can be used while making business presentations, or as a hi-tech cat toy.
There will be not one but two built in speakers, delivering audiophile quality stereo sound without the use of headphones.
A 1/4 input will let you use the new Touch as a practice guitar amplifier.

I'm really excited about all of these changes, as you can well imagine. Anyone else heard any new additions to our favorite electronic gadget?

That's not at all what I heard. My source was my brother, who lives next door to the Mom of an Apple Iphone team member. He cuts her lawn for her and in exchange she tape records all the phone conversations between her and her son to give to my brother. He never lies to me, and even played the relative phone conversation to me that reveals:

The new Touch isn't thin, as thin is out. Picture a cube, but with it's height 61.803 percent of the width, and the depth 61.803 percent of the height. All surfaces are screens and all are touch sensitive. Each can show you a 2D view of a photo of video, or all 6 can conspire to trick your eye into believing it's a glass box with a 3D scene inside it. Play a music video and watch the performance in 3D within the box. The G-sensor works and you can rotate the cube anyway you want. Lay the big side down for a larger stage, and stand it up for a tall projection, perhaps of simply the artist standing there at a mic singing his/her heart out.

Worried about it not fitting your pocket anymore? Fear not, as the box folds up on itself into a 1/4" thick plane. In this mode you can still use the front for display and touch the back to control it, leaving no fingerprints on your view screen. Unfold it once to have a double wide screen perfect for very wide-screen movies.

That's just the beginning, as WiFi brings 7 new built-in apps. More later.
