How to write a plug-in for open office for Mac OS X

Hi fiends,

i want to add a button kind of thing in the openoffice word processor, when u klick on that it will work as spell check tool.

in windows we will write a plugin for word.

Is there any posibility to write a plug-in kind of thing in Mac OS X, if it is there how to do?

I'd start by checking out the OpenOffice.org API (http://api.openoffice.org/) site. At a first glance it looks like much of the information you need regarding addins, etc. is located there.
