iBook latch

I just bought an 14" iBook G4, and I can't seem to latch the lid when I close it. It keeps popping up. I haven't even started it up yet. Has this been a problem that anyone else has encountered or is there something I'm missing? Should I just take it back to the Apple store?

I have a PB, and my latch closes fine. I would tell Apple, it might be a faulty latch.
