I have the aluminum macbook, before it became the macbook pro. it is the model 5,1 with 2.4 ghz.

I have been reading and from what i've read, the maximum is either 250 or 320, and anything higher than that will cause issues with the Hard Drive. Is this correct? I have a portable with 500 GB and I have no problems, but from what I've read it is a problem with the motherboard connector or something along those lines. I'd like to put 500GB into my macbook, but I am unsure that it is possible. Thanks for the help!
