Formatting imovie?

I have recently made my first movie with imovie. I am having trouble formating it to a file that I can upload on to youtube.

The file is also 654 MB for a 90 sec. movie. I would also like to make it smaller if possible.

I did search for similar questions but everything I found was related to iTV.

Any help would be appreciated

What iMovie version do you have?
And what are your settings? DV-PAL or NTSC, or HD, or....?

Also have a look at MPEG Streamclip (http://www.squared5.com) to convert to something useable.

And use MRoogle (http://mroogle.edesignuk.com/) to find many, many similar topics on this board.
