Camcorders for Powerbook

Hi, was looking at camcorders for powerbooks and I had a question:

if the software doesn't say its MAC compatible, will the camcorder still work for the mac with iMovie and whatnot?

the ones i'm debating on are the:
Sony DCRHC-30

or the one in question with MAC compatibility: Panasonic PVG-S120

I'd like the panasonic cause it has 3 CCD's and suppsoedly has the best color reproduction. But I can't tell if it'll work on my PB. Any input? Course Crutchfield's website says it works for mac but Panasonic's website says it doesn't.... And iMovie will convert prerecorded tapes no problem, you don't have to stream in live video right?

So will it work and whatcha think of the camcorders?

Oh never planned to buy from crutchfiled, they just had the easiest Hyperlinks to show

I ended up witht he Panasonic and truly am amazed, the color (especially outdoor shots) is incredible And streams to imovie just fine.
