Ok, I didn't buy windows but it doesn't work on boot camp

So.....I downloaded the windows xp, it is not a legal copy :eek::D and burned the file on dvd but the bootcamp doesn't recognize it.....than I tried the extracing the .iso file and I had setup.exe and autorun.inf and it still didn't recognize it.
What type of file does it need to be in so the boot camp will recognize it or do I have to burn it in certain way?
(I used Toast to burn the DVD)
