Whenever I try to open a file I see an eject icon next to the home item in the sidebar. I circled it in red. I am afraid to push it because it might "eject" my home folder. Does anyone know why this happens?

Have you tried restarting? It might just go away on its own.
It also might be related to your use of themes, though my money's on just restarting.

Tried restarting, still shows up.
Tried disabling ShapeShifter, still shows up.
I'm running out of options here!

what a horrendous looking theme. you do know it was created as a joke right, not for anyone to actually use?

try Siro by DSKY or TiSkin by Xanthic. Siro needs to be the new theme for OS X 10.4, it's that good.

i personally don't think it will do anything, i wonder what you did to your computer that messed it up. i use shapeshifter and that hasn't happened to me, so i'd rule that out as a possibilty.

Why do you say that?
