In WGM, everytime I try to create a new account and save, this message appears:

Got unexpected error

Error of type eDSAuthNoAuthServerFound (-14102)
on line 2112 of /SourceCache/WorkgroupManager/
WorkgroupManager-319.2.2/Plugins/UserAccounts/
UserAdvancedPluginView.mm
.

My server:
Standard with OD Master.
OD password authentification

DNS is fine
I can create accounts in Server Preferences, but user can not login
I can create accounts in WGM with the eDSAuthNoAuthServerFound error, user login works though.

Should I reinstall Leopard now or do you think it is something that can be fix?

Apple is saying you can not use WGM in standard mode. Were you guys aware of that?

I got the same error (but in another line), and I run Advanced setup. I have been using WGM in the past.

Mine says:
Error of type eDSAuthNoAuthServerFound (-14102) on line 1645 of /SourceCache/WorkgroupManager/WorkgroupManager-319.2.2/PMMUGMainView.mm

is to run WGM from a computer other than your od-server. Not sure why it matters, but it seems to work a lot better.

That being said, learning how to add/delete users on the command line with dscl and pwpolicy has made my life as an admin infinitely easier, I suggest you look into those.

I'm not sure what it causing the hang-up on removing an LDAP user in OS X 10.5 (but it started with me in 10.5, worked in 10.4), but I figured out how to delete the stubborn user (I'm using an Advanced Server config w/ WGM).

1. Select the offending user account that you want to delete.
2. In WGM, under the 'Advanced' menu, change the Login Shell to 'none'.
3. Change the User Password Type from 'Open Directory' to 'Crypt Password'.
4. Click 'Save'.
5. Blame Bill Gates for the problem.

Items 2 through 4 releases the account from the OD Master record, allowing it to be deleted. Item 5 makes you feel better :)
