I have edited many posts in my time on Mac Rumors, but I think the main reason is so I don't have a double post. However, sometimes, I want people to see what I have updated. Since Forum Spy is written by Mac Rumors, why can we not make it so it shows edited posts too? Thanks. Any thoughts?

I would guess that the vast majority of edits are to correct spelling, clarify on a minor issue, or fix grammar. This doesn't seem like a great idea. And there's no way to really know what percentage of posts are edited within the first five minutes, either.

Or alternately, when you edit a post MR could blow a synthesized trumpet sound and an animated .gif could wave a red flag that says "hey, look at me".

Not sure how much trouble that would be to implement either
