ATI to launch RV250 and R300 chips on July 17

ATI Technologies is set to launch two RV250 core-based graphics chips, the Radeon 9000 and Radeon 9000 Pro, and one top-end, DirectX 9-supporting chip, the Radeon 9700 (codenamed R300), on July 17. With the earlier product rollout, ATI is expected to enjoy stronger sales during the summer vacation season than rival Nvidia.

Interesting Date.

that is interesting, are those cards 128MB DDR or 256MB DDR?
Do they have ADC and DVI or just ADC and VGA?

I remember some photos of the R300 being posted on www.anandtech.com (http://www.anandtech.com) . They were apparently taken during Computex in Taiwan a few weeks back and that was the card that Doom 3 was running on. I remember seeing it have 128mb DDR ram running a 1Ghz or something, but I could be wrong.

The R300 and others were discussed in this thread (http://www.macrumors.com/forums/showthread.php3?s=&threadid=6080) of the forums. Rather interesting, though.
