unwanted space between header and body...(only shows up in IE)

the space is noticeable on the sides where the side shadows shows the break.....

works fine in firefox and safari....and of course in IE it doesn't....any ideas?

i was checking it on IE8 (didn't notice)...theres a limit to all the variations on IE that one can work with.....

Try adding

.top_menu img {display: block}

to your stylesheet.
