Can you play Windows Media Player 9 Media on a Mac? What about with DRM?
Thanks for any help!

I use WMP 9 for Mac OS X. I haven't tried it with any DRM-enabled media though.

Screw Windows Media Player, use VLC (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/14738) or MPlayer (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/16623).

I doen't even have WMP installed on my computer.

I refuse to install it. :)

I can view MOST but not all WMP 9 files on the Mac with WMP 9. Sometimes Iget no video but I do get sound Protected files do not work at all for me.

I prefer Quicktime and its related formats. But for those cases where you have no choice, WMP does play most of them. Mplayer and VLC will often play media files that Quicktime, Real amd WMP falter with. But what a Pain, 5 players to view something. Sadly, I am unaware of a master player that plays anything you can throw at it.

I just started working with an internet media distribution firm. We use WMP9 on the windows side because the DRM is so easy to use and hard to break. But on the apple side there really isn't an available DRM for quicktime. Apple won't release fairplay and we can't find any third party products. This quarter apple support is required, so we're trying different solutions. I guess when my G5 comes in I will mess with it and try to get WM9 with DRM to work.
Anybody know of any secure DRM for macs that can be applied to media?
