View Full Version : Data plan / internet access issue after unlock?

I bought an unlocked 1st generation iPhone. Everything works great, except access the internet / data usage.

Any thoughts on what I may be doing wrong? I am able to access internet from the old AT&T phone (Moto Razor).

Lately, it seems as if you need the proper data package.

Do you have a data package at all?

Yes. I have a data package. Got it from AT&T yesterday.

Is it the iPhone specific data package?

Don't know if it's specific to iPhone. I asked for a data plan and got one from AT&T. How do I get a iPhone specific data plan - just ask AT&T (& will they give it since I don't have an official iPhone :confused: )

If you have a non-specific data plan, change the APN to wap.cingular, username: wap@cingulargprs.com, pass:CINGULAR1. The 4.0 carrier package blocks, by default, all non-iphone data plans.
