I have a crystal clear protective film on my phone, and when using NAVIGON i rarely get it to work. Most of the time its in simulation mode and says that its unable to lock on a GPS signal. I was wondering if its my screen protector that is causing this?

I have an iPhone 3G by the way if this makes the difference. Not sire if the gps receiver in the 3GS is better or not.

I doubt it, unless it's possibly one of those mirrored screen protectors.

Have you diligently followed the steps to improving the GPS signal for your iPhone on the Navigon iPhone FAQ page?

My Dad has a 3G iPhone with Navigon, using a Speck Toughskin case, and a BSE front protector working very well.
