Powerbook Power Button Light

I recently got the 15", 1.5 GHz AlBook.

I thought the power button would light up -- it looks like it should? I've never seen it come on, though.

I'm talking of the actual power button (with the half dome and line), not the light on the latch that was the subject of a previous thread.

So, is this supposed to light up, or is it just supposed to look cool?

No, it doesn't light up.

I sometimes wish it would light up though. I suppose it would be "distracting" and "gimmicky", so that's why Apple chose not to have it illuminate.
