We promised an updated interface for our BillMinder users. BillMinder 2.0 is a free update, of course. We asked a designer to help us improve both BillMinder's aesthetics and functionality. We rewrote the interface from the ground up and made it easier to use, fixed quirks/bugs, etc.. We submitted it for approval yesterday (the widget on the dev site says 14 days). A vid is available here (http://return7.com/screencasts/billminder_2.0.mov). The video compression does not do the new interface justice but does show off some of the new stuff. :)

BillMinder will remain on sale for 99c until this update hits..then it's going back up to its regular price. :)

Stuff that's been added or changed:
- BEAUTIFUL AND EASIER TO USE NEW INTERFACE!
- BEAUTIFUL New Icon!
- Status icons
- Account icons
- 1-tap to mark bills paid
- Improved calendar
- Email a backup
- More informative errors on restoring a backup (e.g. wrong file type)
- Ask to change future bills or just current one
- Collectors are now accounts
- Improved performance
- Ability to set negative bill amount has been restored (by popular demand!)
- Alert count is now shown on the Bills tab
- Bug fixes

Yeah, this is the kind of app I like the best. Bought it for a couple of bucks a while back and the developers continue to work on it and make it better and better. Update looks pretty slick, can't wait to get it.

Wow looks great. Nice to see an app actually working to improve rather than rest. BillMinder is an example of a very well done app that keeps improving.

Looks good. Glad we can do email backups now, instead of only WIFI sync. And the push notification is working perfectly. Keep the updates coming!

Yep, you still have to restore via WIFI but at least backing up doesn't require a computer. It really is a "2.0" -- not just some minor improvement. :) Wish we could get it out instantly instead of having to wait..oh well.

<shameless plea>Would you guys mind leaving reviews on iTunes (now and/or when 2.0 hits).</shameless plea> :D

Looks great. I love the push updates for bill reminders. This is my second bill tracking app and now I have no need for the first one. Keep up the great work.

I've had BillMinder for quite a while. The new version looks great!

If it's as easy to use as it appears, I'll be happy to leave feedback on iTunes when the update comes out.

Our designer really liked the way our UI was setup already (low # of taps relative to other apps). This means that the UI is similar (although literally entirely rewritten) plus all the little things that make it easier to use (like 1-tap to mark a bill paid, a larger button for the category filter, etc.). I suppose I'm saying BillMinder 2.0 is the same BillMinder you used before, only a lot better. :)

Let's hope Apple approves it on the first try (and soon!). :)
