Just updated
I wish it was like the aim app with different colors and time for each sent message. I like how it can stay logged in for 7 days tho

7 days FTW!!! This app is definitely worth every penny since their first release!

Oh yes it is!!! The 7 days is great but what I like even better is now when you get a push notification and hit view, it opens the chat with that person :) It's so much better! And yay for my favorites list not getting erased when I close it

7 days? My battery isn't interested.
It does not affect your battery. It's not running in the background for 7 days (It can't anyways), it just maintains the connection between Beejive's server and the IM protocol your using for 7 days without having to open the program to reset that time.

Really? Perhaps my battery is interested after all.

Okay so purchased. One thing that isn't working for me is SMS. Is there a setting I need to know about? I enter the number, press GO and enter the text but my friend isn't getting the SMS out of beejive.

Hmm, I'm not sure. I don't have Yahoo nor Aim to try it out. Try the Beejive forums http://www.beejive.com/support/forum/viewforum.php?f=1

Make sure you enter the number as 1 (area code) (number)
so that's like 1425xxxxxxx
It's working flawlessly :)

How do you send SMS texts from beejive?

I don't use the feature but I am pretty sure with Yahoo and Aim.

This version is still junk. My AOL logs me out in approximately an hour. The AOL app works as it should. Waste of $10.

Really?? That's odd! I have never had a problem except for the beginning (when version 3.0 came out). Make sure you have the login time you want selected in the settings.

I'm reasonably happy with IM+. I use AIM, Facebook and Twitter connections. I'd consider Beejive. Can someone try to sell it over IM+. I need a reason to make the switch. Why is Beejive better?

Just checking but...you did set the proper log out time in the options, yes? Cuz I've never had this issue.

another new beejive lover here!!!
I did have problems with facebook logging me out on beejive when I logged into facebook but those problems seemed to have resolved themselves once I did the update!
Regardless though - I think this is a fantastic app!!! Well worth the $10 to me (although I will be pissed once the price drops - lol)!!!

I have them both, I originally got IM+ after the Beejive 3.0 update as I found it rather sluggish on my iPhone 3G, however now with the recent update it is back to performing well for me. I use it mainly for MSN and Google Talk, both of which perform flawlessly for me except for the occasional failed IM thanks to fAilT&T.
I just much prefer the UI of Beejive over IM+ and it just feels more intuitive to use so unless you need Skype support or Twitter push then I would recommend Beejive, it just seems to be a classier program.

Are you logging in to multiple locations and responding '1' to the automated IM?

There's this website that exists... I believe it's called something like beejive.com. They have a support email that transfers text that you type to the developers of the app who can resolve things. It also has support forums. That might be a logical step rather than whining about the best IM client in the app store being a waste.

I have both also, I kind of like the UI of IM+ a little more, I just like to swipe between chats easier then in beejive. I bought beejive 1st then IM+ on sale $5.
I do like the twitter push of IM+, I could be perfectly happy with IM+ BUT...it takes sooooo long to load the app. To me it feels like trying unlock your front door but you keep fumbling the keys in the dark.
Start up for IM+ with only my twitter account active was 30 sec
Start up for Beejive with 6 different accounts: 5 sec
Either one is not bad, IM+ more options but Beejive has better performance.
My vote is for Beejive. I can't stand what seems like forever to reply to a IM.

I am, but I am not responding 1. I want to be logged in on the phone and computer. I think you were onto something though, I set it to stay online 7 days, and the change sticks but it's almost as if it's not taking effect. Maybe I'll email support.

Probably a good idea. It's not an inherent limitation of the software, so something somewhere is probably bugged.
