Anybody want to give my app a try?

Hi all,

My application was just approved after 2 months of compromises with Apple. It's a performance benchmarking tool that can compare the performance of one device vs. another. It can also calculate pi to millions of digits, graph the mandelbrot fractal, and find a list of prime numbers for you, as extras.

I'd like to see how my app scores certain devices. My iPod touch 1G gets about 100 running 2.2.1 and 92 running 3.0. I'd like to find some patterns for performance on different devices, so if anyone could do me a favor and get the app (only 99 cents), run the test, then post the score your device receives here, I'd really appreciate it. Also, if you could, post the version your device is running, e.g. 2.2.1 or 3.0.1, as well as your device, like iPhone 3GS or iPod touch 2G.

By the way, I had to make it appear not to be a benchmarking tool, because Apple didn't want comparisons between their different devices, so some of the GUI is a little stupid right now, and I have a notification that comes up telling the user that this is for entertainment purposes only, but don't mind that. It all works, and I have an update in for approval that should put everything back to normal.

These apps take quite a bit of time to develop. The people who create them deserve to make some money for their time. Not all apps will appeal to each of us, and that's fine, but cut these people a break. Many of them bring us fine products, which I for one really appreciate.

Thanks. And in the second tab, on the right, could you try running the benchmark test, called "Gauge." It takes about 1 minute at most. Tell me what score your device gets, and what kind of device you have, e.g. iPhone 3GS or iPod touch second generation.
