You might want to contact the guy in this thread (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=80582) (letterbox (http://forums.macrumors.com/member.php?userid=32467)) to see if he's interested at that price.

How's come you never mentioned the defects on macrumors(however big or small they may be from one person to another) and how's come you've never contacted Apple about it. Seems if they had a problem they should fix it....right?

I got this comp refurb from Apple $1099.

1099+ 512 ram (100 (+ tax if you bought in a place that collects tax)) + airport card (79/99 refurb/new (+ tax if you buy from a place that collects tax)) + tax = 1386.63 (tax figured in your area of san fran)

did that come with a superdrive? Which one is a better deal now

1. I don't need a SD. I have one on my G5
2. 768 DDR2100... not worth it. Bought a 256MB stick for $49, works plenty well for me.
3. Airport card through student discount, so $69.

All in all, worked out for me fine. Burning DVD's on the go... right.

im quoting what the price would be for THE POWERBOOK ONSALE HERE i don't care what you need. stop trashing this thread!!!!

the only reason you got that powerbook at 1099 was cause it did not have the superdrive, that option is 200 bucks extra

for a machine not that is not the exact same model that the thread starter has

A non-used machine that is given a new warranty and backed by Apple...

There are other available models for this machine... maybe someone else is interested in one w/o a SuperDrive.

Nice job considering all aspects.

The lid not closing completely is the way the rev A and B closes it seems. I have a 12" rev B and it's the same.

Apple won't do anything about it? That really bites if they won't...you can bet I would be calling them day in and day out until the agreed to repair it.
