I've scoured the internet for a 1st gen ipod touch headphone jack, but all I can find is 2nd gen.
Does this part exist?

I was merely suggesting that they would have the answer to your question. They also provide video guides so that you can indeed make your own repairs:

I inquired about getting one repaired on a first gen Touch a couple of months ago and was told that it was a non replaceable part and that the whole mainboard would need to be replaced at around $190USD so I bought a new Touch instead.

I was googling for parts and saw none for the 1st gen... now I have to do component level repair.
