I need a bit of help from anyone who has experience installing OS X. A DVD burned copy of Snow Leopard won't install on a friends Macbook white. It gets to the 33% mark, after the first restart, and then says it can't complete the installation. I have used Disk Utility to try and repair the hard drive and the DVD, but the application says they are okay. I have tried restarting the system, ejecting the DVD and putting it back in, etc. and nothing has worked. If anyone could help with this problem that would be great!

Try a retail copy.

There is too much uncertainty about the legitimacy of this copy of Snow Leopard from your story. You are not likely to get support here for this since it would violate forum rules.
