Bush questioned over CIA leak

Government prosecutors have interviewed US President George W Bush as part of their investigation into how an undercover agent's cover was blown.

US Attorney Patrick J Fitzgerald questioned the president in the Oval Office for 70 minutes.

The investigation aims to find out how the name of CIA agent Valerie Plame was leaked to a journalist.

Ms Plame's husband, former ambassador Joseph Wilson, claims his criticism of the Iraq war prompted the leak.

A spokesman for the White House said the president had appointed a lawyer to act on his behalf during the investigation.

Any indictment of high-ranking administration officials would seriously damage Bush's chances for reelection.

Bush has badly damaged his own chances for reelection, imo. I don't think he wants or expects to be reelected. That is why he is so crazy.

Yup. But he is getting especially crazy-acting with his continued violations of Constitutionally guaranteed rights and total denial of his own wrong doing. It seems he has put so many nails in his own coffin that come November there is no hope of him ever getting out.

On the one hand I'm glad he'll *finally* be gone after 4 very, very, very long years. On the other hand I wish I had been wrong about him considered all the hell he has wreaked on the world.
