Don't know if people know you can do this with Navigon, but you can set a point on the map as a destination... see image here (http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/6715/35308243.jpg)

Yes this is from update 1.1 this feature works well ;) Boy has Navigon put TomTom to shame. Has anyone found out any new things on Navigon? BTW the night mode works great the street names really stand out, maybe a suggestion for daytime use is to make the street names a tad larger and in bold black with a white outline

I guessed it was - but didn't see it publicised

and it does - tomtom is really lagging

I found that feature while playing around with the software at home the other night. Good stuff! I also found that you can zoom in and out of the smaller map when you're looking at the location/info for a POI (via the 'standard' pinch).

There are a lot of nice touches in the Navigon software. For the most part, it beats the heck out of the in-car nav unit in my 2004 BMW X5!

You could do this in 1.0. Definetly not obvious though.

Yes but having using both TT and Navigon, I wish Navigon would implement it the way TT does. On the Nav, for some reason, it doesnt show the street names when you do the Show Map so its hard to pinpoint unless you know the layout. I have zoomed all the way in and out. On the TT, it has a magnifying glass and it will show all the street names so if you need to pinpoint a specific location that cannot be addressed, it is much much easier. Both i find are lacking in the ability to Show Map and then enter an address close to where you want so it takes you close and then you can pinpoint with set destination. Easy to improve but they need to do it.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_0_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7A400 Safari/528.16)

Thumbs up for Navigon. Glad I gave them a shot when they first came out. Just hope they don't stop innovating.

Yes, this was always there, but not intuitively obvious to the casual observer (as my economics prof used to say!). But what I can't understand is why you can't do this starting with Enter an Address. It would be so useful to be able to move the pin to exactly the right spot as often I find that the address, say of a rural location, isn't precise enough for the data base to pinpoint the exact location. Having to start by zooming in on the map isn't a very elegant way of doing it. Even my basic Garmin Nuvi allows me to fine tune the exact location after entering the address
