Not clear which kinds of body parts were on display here, so apologies to both rdowns and edesignuk. ;)

A Southwest Airlines flight was forced to turn around after a dispute erupted on board that left one passenger completely naked.

The Alameda County sheriff's department in California said a man and a woman on the flight were injured during the altercation, and one of them took off all of his or her clothes.

The flight originated in Oakland, Calif., and was en route to St. Louis.

During the scuffle, pilots changed course and headed back to Oakland. The man and woman were both taken to area hospitals after the plane landed.

:D

There are no promises in life, but I'm pretty sure this never happened on any Southwest flight I've been on. Then again, you're going to LA, so your risk is at least 10 fold. :D

Speaking of "Pics or it didn't happen," I love how salaciously vague the whole thing is. How can they not know which one of them took their clothes off... what kind of fight causes one to strip? Maybe one of them was a stripper and the other one was arguing that they had paid for a tease and not received it? Inquiring minds want to know all this stuff and ultimately make a FAIL picture of it.

The flight wasn't nonstop to STL, it had a stop in Las Vegas first. Maybe someone got in the Vegas mood a little bit too early :D

(and no, the first part isn't a joke, it actually did have a stopover in LAS)

I'm leaving SLC with all the conservative mormons aboard, so I hope that there is no nudity for the sake of all the virgin eyes on board, but if it did happen it would be awesome devastating for all those sheltered people on the flight.

I've known a few Mormon girls and they were pretty hot. Of course, they're prudish as hell and probably don't even take their clothes off when they get in the shower.

Yes, I'm aware of that. That's why I wasn't sure upon whose rights I was infringing. ;)

Be forewarned people, it's all fun and games photographing the trademarked Mormon underwear until the Church comes after you....

And that's one thing you don't wanna do, you piss of the church and you piss off at least 70% of the states population. :) It will be nice going to LA to get a nice refreshing breath of diversity. :o

I can successfully report that I made it to LA without any without any clothes removal from any passengers. Just a few screaming babies. :)

Right, just to make sure I have all the details, the babies were screaming because you were naked, correct?

Well, those wishing for boobies apparently will have to wait for the next story; those wishing for member representation in this story got their druthers. :)

Poor Southwest. They have one of the best airlines, but often get stuck with the lamest of passengers.

^ I think because they offer great rates. But this is the behavior I'd expect on the stripper flight.

Some folks will do anything to avoid a layover in St. Louis.

The layover wasn't in St. Louis, it was Vegas.

And we have a fine city and Southwest's terminal at our airport is one of the nicest airport terminals I've been in. It's new and clean and it doesn't take an hour to move between gates like at O'Hare, Heathrow or JFK. If I had my choice of layover airports, I would choose STL without heasitation.

You don't have to sell me - love the jazz and the food. Then again, I always arrive fully clothed and not in custody.

I'm sure the pilots weren't happy about it either, SWA pays them by the leg, not the hour. ;)

They probably bill the fuel costs to the captain's credit card too, no? Just like in Airplane! I can't imagine that he/she would be too happy about that.

Poor Southwest. They have one of the best airlines, but often get stuck with the lamest of passengers.

I just flew with Southwest for the first time in my life this past Wednesday. I thought they were great, from check-in to the long, unexpected delay. Their security is scarily lacking, though. Anyway, I expect I'll be flying Southwest more simply because their customer service was better than any US domestic airline I've flown with in a while. I suppose that's going to make me pretty lame.

Speaking of "Pics or it didn't happen," I love how salaciously vague the whole thing is. How can they not know which one of them took their clothes off... what kind of fight causes one to strip? Man, you've never known those guys who get start stripping off clothes when they get upset? Every buncha dudes has that one guy who's always getting stupendously drunk, wanders off and you find him the next morning sleeping on your front porch in his underwear and one sock. If you can't
think of that guy, it might be because it's you. :)

I had the pleasure of using them for almost all of my travel out of Chicago last year. I love them.

I'm pretty sure it's not. Are you thinking of your friends or the cast of Jackass? :D

Nah - flying on Southwest certainly doesn't make you lame. The airline itself is great. It's just that sometimes you have to share the cabin with people that seemingly came straight to the airport from a Wal-Mart. I once had a lady change her baby on the seat behind me. Another brought her clothes onboard in two large black trash bags.

I mean, holy crap. Wasn't there a time when people used to dress up to fly?

Haha I think there were some man boobs so some people can't figure out if it's a man or a woman at first.
