It already seems pricey to me, so I'd expect the price to come down if anything ;)

I grabbed the navigon app at $69, which is an intro price, and couldn't be happier. Just an alternative option...

At $100 I would suspect TomTom won't go up, but it may go down.

Isn't TomTom one of the companies that charge for a Map update each year?

If you choose to do it yearly. They actually charge more for an annual update than the subscription based map update which is four times a year.
Annual: $80
Subscription: $40

That's only for standalone GPS devices, not for cellphone apps.
It's the first time in history that TomTom make apps for a cellphone.
We still don't know.

The more nav apps there are the better chance that the price will go down especially if the others are better. Competition is good.

What did I say above.... I don't like to repeat myself you know... mine too says UK - Ireland, and I'd prefer it to say TomTom, but it's their decision.

They raise the price and they are crazy. I think they did some studying and priced it at the top of the range. It's a shame, because they are chasing off casual users like me. I was hoping to get the app and car dock for about $150, but I am reading it will be $200. They aren't going to get my business, and it's a bummer because I really want to buy it, just a bit high IMHO.
TOMTOM has shown a lack of experience in selling a product like this one, very poor communications. Making customers like me think twice about buying a product from them when they don't announce anything with regards to future support, upgrades, map update pricing, etc.
