I have the 2009 Mac Mini 2.0 ghz. I have the 10a432 install disc, but when I run it when booted into Leopard it crashes and reboots about 20 min. into the install. When I try to boot to the disc it eventually gives me a "not allowed" sign (circle with a line through it). What am I doing wrong?

100% legal, I used it to upgrade on my 13" MBP without a problem.

It's illegal since you can't just walk into a store and buy it. Just wait for the actual release.

Obviously, since you can't buy it anywhere. There could be any number of issues with what you downloaded off the Internet (which isn't provided by Apple either).

Do you still have the DMG? Just restore it onto a hard drive or flash drive and boot off that.

You're right, that is a possibility. My bad.

Here's one possibility I was waiting to see if someone would suggest:
I migrated everything from my MBP to my mini before I put SL on the MBP. I upgraded on the MBP, and then tried the Mini. Could it be that it somehow thinks I don't have a legit copy of Leopard to upgrade from? I would think not because it won't even boot from the DVD. Has anyone seen that "Not allowed" sign before?

... that you probably got from a friend or torrented. It's not legit if you aren't a developer and I doubt that you are. If you were a developer, you would have SL already installed and not be on here asking questions. You would be asking this question on the Apple developer forum if you had access. It's hard to give advice to people trying to install Leopard who don't have rights to use it.
I'm seeing a lot of these threads popping up where people are having issues with Snow Leopard and they don't have any legal rights to be using it. But hey, if you want to run illegal pre-release software on your computer, fine by me. But don't come on here and act all innocent looking for advice- especially if the software doesn't behave as expected. I saw a thread the other day where the OP went on and on about how he had just installed Snow Leopard and thought it was crappy. He was obviously using a torrent or uncontrolled release but yet he thought that gave him the right to do a review of it. Stupid.

If it's hard to give advice, please escort yourself elsewhere, as this is a forum to get help.
P.S. Thanks for assuming whatever you pleased about me, I am a recent addition to the ADC, jerk-off.
Anybody want to post something helpful?

Exactly what I was thinking.
If you have a legit copy because you are a developer, this shouldn't be your first resource for getting help.
