Copy Specific Text Msg Info and not the whole text?

Ok, so something that drives me crazy is that for text messages there doesn't seem to be a way to copy specific info from a text. Instead, the only option seems to be copy the entire bubble. Is that the only lame option? This is especially annoying given that when someone sends you a link (or say those retarded MMS instructions from AT&T to go to a website and type in a user/pass) and you can't just highlight and copy a specific part of the message and instead are forced to copy the entire bubble, which is pretty much useless.
