Hey, I have a favor to ask.
I'm not very hopeful about this but I've been trying to identify these songs for a while.
check this link
http://www.comlinks.tv/unknown/
There are two mp3 tracks and they are about 1.5 mb a piece.
Someone once said that they were Underworld, but I've been thru they're entire catalog and come up with nothing.
I'm sure most of you have 'mystery' songs you like to identify, so you could understand how my curiosity has become obsession.
Thanks for any comments...

i'm no expert on the underworld but they sure don't sound like anything i've heard from them.
quite frankly, they sound like noodlings using reason....which may be why it's been so tough to find the composer. not being critical, just saying there's not much of a fingerprint on these tunes.

Number 1 is Orbital. It's either part of Lush 3.1 or Lush 3.2 (I can't tell which, but probably 3.1, as I have those two and two others combined in iTunes) from the album Orbital II. The second one, I've never heard before. But maybe my brother knows, seeing as he has a radio show of his own (http://www.mkb-dj.org/hydrogen/) ;) And if you actually end up trying to listen to his show tomorrow night (remember, all times are EDT), make sure you don't use iTunes to listen to the stream, it just doesn't work for some reason, so I use Audion.

hey man, you rock.
I did find find the first one Lush 3.2 at this site
http://www.loopz.co.uk/discog/ep/lush.html
Its only a sample and it looks like its on vinyl.
There is a CD there with lush 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4
Now I just have to find out where to get it.
Lush 3.3 says its mixed by underworld So that could be
my unknown #2 track
You must be a real techno-phile to know this stuff.
Let me ask you, Is this concidered trance music?

the first is Lush...
the second one is Underworld, 100% sure!!!
I'm still trying to find out which track it is... still trying, still trying...
o.k., "Born Slippy" it is...
o.k., you might say: "nah, no way, I know that song..." but behold! it's a short part of a bootleg live version of the infamous ".NUXX"-remix (from 1996 in Munich, Germany), sweet isn't it :)
o.k., here comes the best thing:
no need to go P2P for that track... you can download it together with a licenced live compilation on Underworld's own website called "Bootleg Babies", made up of the best Underworld bootlegs... here's the link (http://www.dirty.org/underworld/fan.html#bb), the track you are looking for is track 06 on CD#1
burn BB to two CD-blanks and have fun, I even prefer it over the excellent "Everything.Everything"... and BTW, Underworld is the best band in the world (iGav, please confirm ;))

Dude, I'm amazed.
Its definitely the song. it sounds a little different cuz its live but its real.
you must be really into this stuff to identify. I figured someone out there had to have heard it or something. I'm down loading the CD right now. I wonder where I can get the studio version. I'm psyched I know what it is now.
This has been a long road. Thanks man. I'll welcome anymore comments but I'd say it pretty much mystery solved.

happy to be of service :)
if you are looking for the studio version (even though I'm sure the mystery track is just the final 2 minutes of the Munich live bootleg...), you should check out the Underworld singles box set. might be hard to find and pretty pricy since it's long out of print... maybe ebay?
