I bought got a MacPro earlier this year (the 2008 model). Since I was happy with my 20" Apple Cinema Display, I bought the (almost $100) DVI-to-ADC adapter. It works great. As long as the adapter is the right one, it should work in any DVI port with no issues.

AFAIK they never made a 24" Cinema Display with ADC connector, only 22" and 23" for the larger cinema displays.

I use my 22" with ADC and the Apple ADC>DVI adapter on my 2009 Mac Mini with no problems...

I have the old Cinema Display (24"?) Easel type with a miniDVI connector I was planning on a Mac Mini to replace the '02 mirror door. Do ya think it'll work?
