Acrobat Pro - add links that point to a CD-ROM?

I want to create a self-contained CD-ROM with an Acrobat PDF that contains embedded links that points to an HTML directory located on the same disc.

I've already added links to the same HTML files that I've uploaded to my FTP server, but I want this to work without an internet connection. I've tried pointing the link in Acrobat to a CD-ROM file, but it never seems to work when I burn the final disc.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

Create a folder structure that's exactly as it would be on the final disc. (So, if the PDF is at the top level, and all your files in a folder called "Resources", create a folder that has that same structure.)

Put all your files where they would be located on the disc (including the PDF), then add your links to those files.

Thanks - I guess it's just that these don't work in Preview. I set it up like you said and the links work fine when the PDF is opened in Acrobat, but in Preview the links don't work at all.

It's not that big of a deal though. Is this just a limitation to the Preview app?

Yeah, Preview doesn't support all the the PDF functions that are available. (Right now my biggest complaint is that checkboxes don't work, even through radio buttons work properly.)

Preview is one of the apps that is supposed to see an update with Snow Leopard. I wonder if they'll have better PDF support in the next version.

If you are on the windows side, I don't know if there is such a thing, but you can download a free batch file creater that also creates a self executing batch file that opens up a specific page. Pretty cool little tool and it is free. But I have only used on the windows side. There are probably a million ways to do this, but I found something that was easy and free.

I had to create a CD for our unions that had 90 different pdf's so I created a main webpage that linked to the pdf files..... opened up in your browser and worked pretty good.
