Was gonna check my order status for Snow Leopard up-to-date but 1-800-MY-APPLE doesn't open until 8est. Mine hasen't been switched to August 28th or ready to ship like others have as of last night.

Why would it make front page? The site goes down frequently for minor maintenance. It could just be this again???? The front page would be full of articles saying 'Apple Store is down possible maintenance or new product?' Better of to wait until there is actual news of why the site is down. Snap goes the dragon! All my macs feel snappier already! I can't wait until I get my hands on Quicktime X, I have been waiting since June for that particular feature! I can't believe Quicktime X is going to be a Snow leopard only feature. I see you are joining the ranks of Microsoft in forcing people to upgrade to their latest operating system just for a minor speed improvements and features.

It made front page when it went down for the iPod shuffle. I would think it is Pretty plausible that this is the downtime their adding Snow Leopard

What I could have seen is the store was down so the article would read along the lines of speculation about the release of a new product. That isn't exactly THE STORE IS DOWN OMGWTFBBQ!!one!!11!

I could write something right now that says the store is down and the conclusion is speculation that SL will drop early as some users have reported their CCs being charged and others have found install discs inside their new machines. I mean, you can say all that, which focuses on the store being down in some weird way. ;)

My bet is new Cinema Displays, possibly with OLED technology. Even more extreme would be a wireless interface to the computer.

They are massively due an upgrade, but not something that would be a high interest in a Keynote.
