So far the only possibilities that i've found are buying toast for around $100, or buying some generic app for $25; neithe rof which i really want to do. Does anyone know of a free patch/app that will allow me to read this dvd? Ive noticed that roxio has one freely available for windows, but not for mac

UDF DVDs are supported I just made 1 like 2 minutes ago.

I think you might have media problems (+ vs. - formats).

What brand of media, which format (+R or -R), what OS (10.2 or .3), what computer and what brand of DVD drive (check in System Profiler)?

well here's all of the information that is in my system profiler regarding the dvd-rom

Capacity: 3.85 GB
Manufacturer: MAT****A
Model: MAT****A CD-RW CW-8122
Revision: BA21
Serial Number:
Drive Type: CD-RW/DVD-ROM
Disc Burning: Apple Supported/Shipped
Removable Media: Yes
Detachable Drive: No
BSD Name: disk1
Protocol: ATAPI
Unit Number: 0
Socket Type: Internal
OS9 Drivers: No

I'm running 10.3 on a pb that was bought back in the fall

as far as info about the disk goes, i have no idea... it's an import from hong-kong so it just has the movie title on it.. the data side is purple if that helps at all

thanks for your help

edit: ha! crazy censorship... fill in the blanks ;)

One more bump...

I believe that there are different versions of UDF files out there.. pantehr can play up to 1.5, where the one i have is 2.0( i think).
