http://www.hardmac.com/news/2009/08/24/itunes-9-to-allow-dvd-ripping

One of them displays a button defined as "Rip DVD". It would be a true "revolution" as Majors never "allowed" and "official" application to perform such action, even though one can download numerous freeware or dedicated applications to rip a DVD.

Of course, such captures might be a hoax, or Apple could have found an agreement with Majors to offer such function on the future itunes. One might have to pay a fee to be able to rip DVD as one has to pay for getting the ring phone of a music track already owned...

Like this would ever happen. Real Networks and the company that makes Kaleidescape are both being sued for DVD ripping.
