Airport Extreme card - works with all macs?

Hi there!

I'm on the look out for airport extreme (8.11g or something?) and will the same card fit in an ibook 800mhz G4 as well as an iMac 800mhz G4?

How is it installed? I heard you needed to somehow lift the keyboard out?

The Airport Extreme card will fit in the iBook G4 but the 800MHz iMac will only accept the older Airport card.

Yes, the AE card needs to be installed under the keyboard on the iBook. Instructions are available from the Apple Support site here. (http://www.apple.com/support/ibook/doityourself/)

You can occasionally find refurb Airport cards for your iMac on the Apple web store for $59.

I'm trying to get one off of Ebay. I just refuse to pay the full price for one. It will be the second one I've bought, and I still need to get a third party one for my daughter's iMac.
